Eat breakfast. Drink water. Drink green tea. Drink lean protein
The morning of a solution for you!
Does this sound familiar…?
“Every other day until I die is as good as a thousand, yeah?”
Exactly!
And how often do you follow your simple, yet effective, recommendations for building a lean and healthy body?
Now, I’m not saying you need to be on an intermittent fasting diet or sip cups of green tea throughout the day. What I am saying is that sugary drinks, caffiene and chocolate are NOT the answer.
Whether you drink your coffee black or with creams, the answer is:
Sugar!
Now, I’m not saying I want you to go out and have a big burger with cheese and fries- only once in a while. What I am saying is that we need to get out of the way and start drinking water- and green tea- in order to help fuel our bodies.
If you’ve read my previous articles, you’re aware that I’m not exactly biased when it comes to fat loss diets and methods, but I do think we tend to forget the importance of water when on a diet.
It takes 2,000 calories to make one gram of valid protein. Two-thirds of the protein in a lean body mass is made of water.
It took me a very long time to realize that most weight gain problems (as well as health problems for that matter) are associated with the drinking of sugary drinks, and the culprit is sugar.
Let’s take an ultra-complex example.
Let’s say you can’t seem to lose weight despite proponents of all diets telling you the opposite. What you need to do is to increase your intake of the following:
Proteins -Specifically proteins derived from animals (meats, eggs, etc)
Fats – primarily omega-3 fish oils (essential fatty acids are present in flaxseed oil)
Carbohydrates – properly complex carbohydrates found in vegetables and whole grains (starch)
Fiber – you can find fiber in whole grains, vegetables, black rice, and legumes
Now, there’s a lot of magic floating around in these ingredients, and the best way to expose you to this information is to read an article I wrote about the carbohydrates in foods.
You can start to lose weight, have more energy, and improve your health right away!
The afternoon of a Solutions Program® Incheon Class I recently looked into, I was on my computer listening to a man who was promoting a program that claimed it knew how to solve every problem.
This man, who came off as some kind of a authority, recommended a program that was customized to fulfill 90% of the problems he encountered. However, my notes immediately turned into anickets as he went on about the numerous class members who failed to show up for one reason or another.
The abs diet was the perfect example. As far as it did not neglect carbohydrates, it also did not neglect proteins.
Here’s the thing- there are abs diets that emphasize one type of abs diet or another. The problem with this is that there is so much faulty science, so many different philosophies, that no single diet can really claim to fully succeed in permanently changing your body.
Your abs diet needs to be designed with a reason why it works. Otherwise, you are just doing it for a trend.
That aside, the abs diet you should be focusing on creating a steady lifestyle change is the same abs diet you have been doing for years. It’s the exact same diet you need to learn for the rest of your life. But it seems many people are only learning about it for 5 or 6 days before deciding to forget it once they see results.
This is WRONG!
If you want permanent, lasting results, you need a diet that is…
• Sustainable,
• Friendly to your body.
• Effective.
• Easy to implement.
• Semiciated so you can maintain the changes you make.
