How to Choose an Affiliate Partner

Say that somebody buys a product or service from your website. By themselves, they just get the link to the merchant’s website where the product is sold. But say that somebody creates a blog on your website. Instead of just linking to the product, they will link to your blog with their own advertising affiliate ads. Now, when somebody goes to your affiliate page, the first thing they will see is your own advertising affiliate ad. If they like the product, they may click on the link to go to the product site. But there is a risk unless the product is brand new and your visitor decides to buy it. Suppose the product is not a brand new product, it means that you have sold something before and get some commission. You will not make much money in the beginning, but your risk is minimal.

Here the dilemma: On the one hand, you really like the product and have promoted it extensively. On the other hand, you know many people are already selling the product and have lesser chance of improving your ROI (Return on Investment). So what should you do? I don’t know. But you can use some basic affiliate marketing tips that involves finding a good product to sell, a good platform to sell it on, and a proper marketplace in which to sell it.

Of course, it is also helpful to know a good product before promoting it. In fact, it will greatly increase your conversion rate. If you are not a pro, then try to search for a low cost or free affiliate program. For example, you can promote private label products. You can also search for good and affordable e-books (a click at ClickBank will bring up the largest digital products). If you are really interested in e-business, you can also try to search for membership sites (a click on the words “affiliate program” in Google will bring up many clickable affiliate programs).

By searching, you are giving yourself an idea of what’s hot. Among the hottest topics on the net are the issues of making money (How to make money online; Work from Home; etc.), dating (dating and relationships; Promoting Your Online Business; etc.), health (Body; Health; Dos and Don’ts of Health; etc.), lovers (dating and relationships; Promoting Your Online Business; How to Create a Fortune on eBay; etc.), sports ( Turns; recruiting for a basketball team, etc.), pop culture ( entertainment; geek; etc.), travel ( attraction; toward; toward; toward; toward; toward; toward; toward) and many other topics.

It doesn’t matter what your website is about. On the Internet, you can always get a lot of traffic. Of the many ways to get traffic, most of the approaches work only on a targeted traffic. Instead of doing keyword research for your site right, write articles to drive traffic to an article directory. This is an excellent strategy to get targeted traffic, as the people who are looking for your site will find it easiest to go to your site when they find it in the search results of the search engine.

Simply writing articles is not going to cut it. Create a blog, combine engaging video to your blog posts, create a list, deliver good content and set up a modern take-up email series to keep the relationship going.

If you can get decent targeted traffic from articles, you can make a killing from Google AdWords. Since Google pays for targeted traffic, you can make a lot of money if you can convince the people who go to your website to click on certain ads.

By selling someone else’s product, you cut down on the purchase cost for the website and cut down on the allocation and existing budget for acquiring traffic to the website. At the same time, you will probably make much more money from AdWords in a shorter amount of time.

Then, try to think like your potential clients. What other products are they looking to buy? What other items are they currently purchasing?

Try to create new products of your own, based on the knowledge you have gained. You can create informational products such as e-books, phone shortcuts, guides to buying successfully on the web, software programs to help make your customers’ life easier. Even make your own videos and sell them there.

The more you can think like your potential customer, the better. It makes it much easier to come up with the best strategic plan in order to dominate your chosen niche.
