Depending on the severity of your wrinkles, you may need from one to five procedures for a complete surface resurfacing. The total cost of the procedures is about $5,000 and may be covered by some insurance companies.
Skin Grafting
The procedure sounds excruciating: literally upside down through a grate and into a body part. But don’t worry: It is not as painful as it sounds. It is a relatively painless operation that usually takes only an hour or two and the recovery time is fast with a little rest.
The healing time is about a couple of weeks and the results of this procedure can last up to five years. It depends on the skill of the surgeon but most reputed surgeons perform the procedure in about three weeks during the healing process.
Before going through the surgery, you may be asked to stop smoking or avoid use of certain products, such as steroids and hormones. Also, you may have to avoid direct sun exposure and use a SPF 30 sun block on the treated area.
Most people see a change in wrinkles within 12 weeks after the surgery, and one to two months after the procedure. Sometimes, there is hardly any sign of the procedure at all.
