Learning Affiliate Marketing – PPC and SEO For Affiliate Marketing

To make money from affiliate marketing, the next thing that you must do to drive traffic to your landing page or squeeze page is by using pay-per-click (PPC) advertising or search engine optimization (SEO). There are a lot of other ways that are able to drive traffic but the two methods above relate to search engines specifically.

In short, you either use PPC or SEO to drive traffic to your offer.

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising PPC advertising is a form of advertising where you pay search engines like Google, MSN, Alta Vista, All The Web, AOL, etc. each time someone clicks on your ads. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad.

You would need to set up a PPC account before you can use this technique. It is also important to know how you would receive payment from advertisers based on bid amount or the total “per click” amount you are willing to pay.

SEO You can also use search engine optimization to drive traffic to your site. This is a free and easy technique that basically involves solving certain types of problems in search engines.

You can use this in conjunction with PPC as well, or both techniques for driving traffic.

The three major search engines are Google, AltaVista, and AllTheWeb. However, there are many other search engines out there, and a lot of other ways to get traffic.

You would, of course, want to get the most powerful techniques to drive traffic to your site and squeeze pages. Some of the most powerful techniques are throughLINE, Viral Method, Article Marketing, andude to name a few.

For me, Affiliate Marketing has the highest potential for driven traffic, but is also the most competitive. However, all 3 techniques have great advantages for affiliate marketing.

Technique 2 is very niche, very targeted, and if done correctly, will drive targeted visitors to your site for a long time to build credibility. Technique 3 is a very niche, very targeted technique as well. Both of these techniques offer great potential to get targeted visitors to your site at almost instant.

Both of these techniques offer great potential to get targeted visitors to your site within hours. In addition, you can combine them into a powerful technique that easily brings 1000s of targeted visitors to your site.

Article Marketing

Article marketing is a very powerful technique especially when done with listings, or mini-sites. You write short informative articles that are around 300-500 words in length. There are a lot of miniature sites and review style sites that are around this length.

You can post these articles once a day, or relate them to other websites in a similar niche. Once that original article is posted, attempts are made to ping a few directories. If your article is picked up by other websites, or if Google indexes it, then you will soon see a steady flow of link-based traffic.

This is what I call “keyword wealth”. You can create so much content that is rich in keywords, that you will have a virtual Arenation of traffic based on these articles.

Viral Marketing

This is similar to article marketing, but instead of posting one article a day, you post one or more articles each day for a few days. These articles are topic specific, and they all link to each other. So, if you for example write an article titled “10 Easy Reasons To Join Affiliate Programs”, and you also write a separate article titled “10 Easy Reasons To Sell Anything”, then all you have to do is market both your article and your website.

This is great, because when you combine article marketing with what we talked about previously, you have a powerful combination!

Article submissions

This is where it becomes profitable. I am talking about the concept of “Article Marketing”. Writing articles and submitting them to directories will soon drive targeted traffic to your website. To be honest, it will take some time to see the effects – but if you stick to it, you will be happy with your traffic from this one strategy.

Traps to avoid with affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing isn’t all that different from other tried and tested internet marketing techniques. There are a lot of factors that you have to consider, and I want to cover a few of them here. In short, don’t just try to sell everything including the kitchen sink.

Trying to do this will only lead to a scene from The Internet when you have spent all your money and used up all your time spinning your wheels. List to these two vital tips below if you want to survive in The World Wide Web.

Choose a niche (niche) you are good at or have enough knowledge of (this is called knowledge).

Choose products that belong to a niche you have knowledge of (this is called passion).
